Nicole & Andy’s wedding at Sunderlands New Venue, The Palm
We mostly get booked for weddings from guests at previous weddings and we’d first met Nicole & Andy at Emily & Josh’s Wedding. They were a laid-back, fun-loving couple and we knew we’d have a great time working with them at The Palm. A brand new wedding venue in Sunderland and would be its first-ever wedding.
We had another connection with Nicole & Andy. We originally had Nicole’s Brother’s wedding booked first for the previous year but Covid forced him to push his wedding back a year meaning his sister would tie the knot first.
The Palm in Sunderland
The Palm is a collection of late-night bars, restaurants, and tropical gardens. It’s made up of Wildernest Bar & Lobster Cabin, Tropicuba Carnival Bar & Tapas, Pineapple Cove Cafe and Liberty Brown Steak House. Nicole & Andy’s wedding would incorporate all of these areas, each with its own style.
Disney Mad
Nicole’s love of Disney found its way into the wedding breakfast at The Palm. Her wedding cake, table centres and apron we all Disney-themed. Her brothers’ emotional speech had us all in tears and Andy’s Bestman had us in fits of laughter.
Evening at The Palm
The Palm has great balcony looking over the river Wear and the new Northern Spire bridge. While Nicole & Andy’s guests enjoyed the venue we pinched them for some couple shots, tring to squeeze in a sliver of the Sunderland sunset.
Nicole & Andy’s night kicked off in The Palms underground nightclub. It looked like it was going to be a very messy night.
We loved our time with Nicole, Andy & their family. We’d be doing it all again in a months time for Nicole’s brother Nathan at Le Petit Château in Otterburn, Northumberland. We’d also like to thank The Palm’s staff who were wonderfully helpful on the day.
